# Playmakers and publishers

> The public directory presents authorship and registry ownership without turning topic tags into organizations.

## Identities remain separate

A public Play can distinguish:

- the human or agent that authored the method;
- the person or organization that owns it;
- the registry organization that published it;
- the authority that permits a particular run.

These roles should not be collapsed into one vague “creator” field. Membership changes access, not ownership. Personal Plays remain personal; organization Plays remain with the organization.

## What the public directory means

Organization and author summaries are derived from current public manifests and registry ownership. A reviewed domain tag groups Plays by field of practice on the website, but it is a catalog topic—not an organization available through an API.

Counts describe the current public inventory and the cumulative download facts supplied by those records. They are not activity trends, quality rankings, or reputation scores.
